Anker Prime Fusion Review: The 65W Power Bank That Replaced My Wall Brick
The Anker Prime Power Bank (9.6K, 65W, Fusion) is a 65W wall charger and a 9,600mAh battery in one 10.76 oz brick, and after 12 months it's my everyday power brick. The best part is that one device replaces both my Apple wall adapter and my backup battery. The catch is the weight in a pocket, and one fill gets you only about 1.5 to 2 phone charges.

Who it's for: Dads who want one brick that charges from the wall and works as a backup battery, especially on travel days and long days out with the kids. Skip it if you need multiple full phone charges or a full laptop charge away from an outlet, or if you still rely on USB-A cables.

What Is the Anker Prime Fusion?
The Anker Prime Fusion is a 65W wall charger and a 9,600mAh power bank in one brick. Fold the AC prongs out and it's a wall charger. Fold them in and it's a battery that goes in your bag. As I put it in my video, it's the ultimate power brick: your wall charger and your backup battery, all in one.
What's up, fellas. If you want to level up your dad game, this is one of the pieces of gear that actually changed my daily carry.
How Does Pass-Through Charging Work?
Plug the Anker Prime Fusion into the wall and it charges its own battery and your phone at the same time. Flip out the prongs, plug it in, and plug your phone into one of the two USB-C ports. In the morning, both are full.
One thing to know: Anker says that when a connected device pulls more than 30W, the Prime Fusion pauses refilling its own battery so the device gets the power first. With a laptop plugged in, the battery may not top up until the laptop is done.
Can the Anker Prime Fusion Charge a MacBook?
Yes. The Anker Prime Fusion puts out up to 65W from a single USB-C port, which is fast enough to give a MacBook Pro a quick boost. I use mine on my MacBook, my iPhone, an iPad and the kids' devices, plus earbuds and a watch.
Think of it as a boost, not a full laptop charge. The battery holds about 34.6Wh. Anker says you lose 30% to 45% of that to heat and conversion, which leaves roughly 19 to 24Wh. A 14-inch MacBook Pro battery is around 70Wh, so a full Prime Fusion adds roughly a quarter to a third of a charge. When both ports are in use, the output splits to 45W and 20W.
What Does the Display Show?
The Anker Prime Fusion has a 1.3-inch smart display that shows real-time data. For you nerds: you get battery level, how many watts are going in or out, time estimates and even battery health. It's the first thing I check before I leave the house, because I know exactly how much power I have instead of guessing from four little dots.
The Disneyland Test
The Anker Prime Fusion is my go-to when I make the ultimate dad sacrifice and spend the day at Disneyland. At the hotel, it's the plug on the nightstand, charging my phone and itself overnight. In the morning, I unplug it and toss it in the bag.
Over a park day, one full Prime Fusion gives me about 1.5 to 2 phone charges. That lines up with Anker's own estimate of about 1.8 charges for an iPhone with a 3,349mAh battery. It's enough to keep my phone alive for photos, tickets and the app all day.
What the Anker Prime Fusion Replaced
The Anker Prime Fusion replaced my Apple wall adapter and my separate battery pack. That's one less thing to pack and one less thing to leave in a hotel outlet. It's my every day power brick now.
Throw it in a backpack, a cross-body, or let's be real, your wife's diaper bag. If you're the dude rocking the fanny pack, it works there too.
How Has the Anker Prime Fusion Held Up After 12 Months?
After 12 months of daily use, my Anker Prime Fusion has had no issues. The folding prongs are still tight and solid in the wall, and the display shows battery health still near 100%.
Is the Anker Prime Fusion Worth the Price?
Yes, for me. Anker lists the Prime Fusion at $89.99 at time of writing, and Best Buy has it on sale for $75.99. When I made my video in January 2026, the best price I found was $69.99, so it's worth waiting for a sale.
Compare that to Apple's basic adapters, which run about $39 to $59 on their own. They don't have a battery, a second use or a display. At $69.99 over 12 months of daily use, my Prime Fusion has cost me under $6 a month so far.
Who Should Skip It
Skip the Anker Prime Fusion if you want something that disappears in a pants pocket. At 10.76 oz, it's dense. Skip it too if you need several full phone charges or a full laptop charge away from an outlet. A bigger power bank makes more sense there. And there's no USB-A port, so older cables need an adapter.
If you're building out your daily carry, the Wuben G5 rides in the bag right next to it. See my Wuben G5 review.

I get about 1.5 to 2 phone charges per fill. Anker estimates about 1.8 charges for an iPhone with a 3,349mAh battery.

The bottom line
Twelve months in, the Anker Prime Fusion is still my every day power brick. It's my wall charger at the hotel and my backup battery in the park, it gives a MacBook Pro a quick boost, and the display tells me exactly where I stand. It's heavy for a pocket and it won't fully charge a laptop, but it replaced two things in my bag. It gets the Daily Dad Carry stamp of approval. Level up your gear. Level up your dad game.
